Full Description

1960s: Saddle quern found by farmer, (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Scatter of mainly Neo/EBA worked flint found fieldwalking by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) from circa 1980. Scatter spread over three fields (numbers H5, H6 & H7; OS Fields 7061, 8451 & 9139), relatively dispersed over two to north. Finds include part polished flint axe (catalogue B31), 2 complete & two broken leaf arrowheads (RF3, RF4 & friend of Brian Benham), a stone pounder/hammer (K58) and various worked & burnt flints, animal bone and pottery (mostly EBA)(S1). Finds scatter defined after Colin Pendleton and (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) sketch maps (S1).
Also various worked flints, flint quern etc, found by farmer, (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), may partially be from this scatter (also see MNL 45).
