Full Description

Circa 1975: Preh preserved buried soil exposed while cutting new ditch linking two parallel ditches to N of River Lark. Soil protected by subsequent depositions of ditch/river dredgings on top and by position between ditches preventing arable agriculture. Section cleaned & sketched by Colin Pendleton. Finds from buried soil include a few potsherds and worked flints (S1).
Close to dated burnt flint patch, MNL 124, worked flints, MNL 299 and bronze spearhead, MNL 056.
