Full Description
Location mentioned in C14 charter of Stoke-by-Clare. Priory under Wickhambrook describes parcel of land:- "and in the field called Wrdtefeld in length and breadth between Badmouneshallese and le Stanstrete and between le Wydelane and Estdych" (S1). Badmouneshall is probably Badmonisfield Hall. Stanstrete possible indication of Rom road? - note WKB 008 & Lidgate Villa Rom sites in same area.
