Full Description
1991: Wooden stub of gibbet standing to `about 8 feet high' in Potsford Wood (S1) marked as `Gallows' on OS 1:10000 map (S2); as Potford Gibbet on OS 1st edition in 1837 (S3). Gibbet said to have last been used in 1699 (S4).
