Full Description
Blade end of socketed axe found metal detecting (?by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)). Surviving portion said (from photograph) to be circa three and a half inches long with saw marks (patinated - not recent) clearly visible on the break (S1). Just outside ?on edge of area of mainly Rom & Med scatters, Withersfield 004.
