Full Description

In May 1983 a trial trench was dug N to S across Annis Hill. No archaeological features found nor any material of any date. Information from SAU Ipswich (S1).
Trial trenching of Annis Hill, just to the south of Joyce Road, where Early Anglo-Saxon graves were found in 1951, failed to produce evidence of features of any date (S2).
