Full Description
Socketed bronze axehead from Icklingham in Dr H Fawcett Collection (S1). Possibly same as plain socketed axe, 9.3cms long, with encrustations at socket, from Icklingham, sold at Sotherby's 4 July 1932, lot 109 (S2). Fawcett believed to have been collecting in NW Suffolk circa 1940-1950.
