Full Description
At a meeting of the SIA in June 1862 at Haverhill the report of the committee mentioned a "very rare and beautiful coin of Coenvulf, King of Mercia, AD 796, which derives great additional interest from its having been found in the garden of W B Wigston, Esq Horringer by whom it was kindly presented to the (SIA) Museum" (S1).
