Full Description
Dovecote - attributed to the late C16 (S1). Large dovecote probably erected late in the C16 (S2). Apparently used as a silo earlier this century, land later sold to Lord Blakenham and the building demolished in 1966. Thought to have been brick (S2). Photo 1912 by Rev Edmund Farrer shows a rectangular structure with a pyramidal tiled roof with 2 open gablets near summit. Photo appears to show a window on 1 side and a lean-to extension on another (S4). See NTT 007 for another dovecote in this parish.
