Full Description

Rectangular moat, occupied. This was the guildhall belonging to the parish (S1).

At TM 23456879, situated on level ground and
surrounding three 18thC cottages is a sub-rectangular ditched
enclosure measuring overall 80.0m east to west by 60.0m
transversely. The south and east arms are made up by a small stream
while the north and west are ditches averaging 4.0m wide.
Although this feature has the appearance of being a moat it is more
likely that the cottages were built alongside the stream with a
ditch to the rear to drain the gardens, (S2, S3)
