Full Description

Two basal looped spearheads & socketed axe from Felixstowe, obtained by IPSMG in 1920:- 1920-51.19 "socketed celt, considerably corroded"; 1920-51.40 "socketed spearhead with side loops. Part missing"; 1920-51.41 "socketed spearhead with side loops. Much pitted". (S1)
Spearheads listed by Rowlands as basal looped:- 1920-51.40, Misc group (similar to Stibbard hoard spearheads), 18.6 cms. long; 1920-51.41, group 3, 10.6 cms. long, plate 40. (S2). Note: acquired by IPSMG at same time as FEX 010 (a socketed axe and 2 spearheads) & thought by museum staff (in 1951!) to have been found with FEX 010 (S3).
