Full Description
1546: Free Chapel, foundation unknown, sometimes referred to as parish church (note church, FTN 001, part(?) ruined since mid C16). Said, in 1546, to be quarter mile distant from any church with a yearly value of four pounds 10 shillings. Clerk's (William Ugge) stipend four pounds.
`William Ugge showed records and registers calling it a parish church, but in the King's Records of tenths and first fruits it is called a free chapel, and there have been no inhabitants for many years' (S1).
