Full Description
Site of Brundish Hall after (S1)(S2)(S3)(S4). Adjoined churchyard on E side; farmyard lay to the N. Described by Edmund Farrer in 1916 as a C16 building, enlarged a hundred years later and then altered in the Georgian period. Had a long frontage facing W with two wings, on one of which was a `W' (for the Wyard family) and the date `1687'. Occupied by the Wyard and Gooch families in the C17-C19 (S5). House dismantled in 1920s(?) and shipped to America (S6). Site is now overgrown and nothing seems to remain except for a short length of brick walling (garden boundary?) adjacent to the NE corner of the churchyard. Most of the farm buildings have also disappeared, except a disused range at the extreme E end.
