Full Description

Small, roughly triangular green, partly infilled. Substantial green ditch on south side (in front of Green Farm), on west side (behind modern house The Woodlands) and western part of north side (near Home Farm). Moated site at Pettistree Lodge adjoins east part of north side. This substantial green ditch has sometimes been thought to be part of an outer moat to the Pettistree Lodge oval moat (S1), but this seems unlikely, especially in view of the other farmsteads adjoining the green. Partial enclosure of the green had occurred by 1840 (S2).
