Full Description

Church of St Mary Magdalene. Consists of chancel, nave, S porch, W tower. Norman (?) masonry in nave although no church is recorded at Sternfield in the Domesday Survey (2 are listed at Saxmundham!). C14 tower and porch (armorial shield for de la Pole on W face of tower). 1764 chancel rebuilt. 1877 restoration (S1)(S2)(S3).
