Full Description
July 1993: Thetford ware rim sherd found in recently dumped garden material (including misc stones, brick & tarmac fragments, clippings etc) in pit to N of church at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Derives from stone clearance for lawn preparation in garden of (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Soil in this garden (front & rear) is all imported from two sites in Brandon, the Sports Centre site (BRD 071) and his land off Station Road Industrial Site (? (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) approx), which, according to (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), produces a lot of pottery and is frequently metal detected. The Thetford ware rim probably comes from BRD 071 (S1)(S2). (The tarmac fragments coming from the original tennis courts.)
