`Bricklehole' - site of brick kiln or brick pit? Fields just to S named as `Drift and Brick Kiln Pasture' (grass) and `Brick Kiln Field' (arable) in 1840 (S1). Presumed site of brick kiln or brick pit. Note a brickmaker is recorded in Stoke by Clare between 1600 and 1649 (S2). For mid C19 brick kiln, see SBC 019.
