Full Description

September 1993: Following topsoil strip for disposal of soil from construction of Haverhill (S) bypass, an area of circa 30 by 30m was identified which, although 70% was obscurred by subsoil, included two possible postholes and a curving, narrow ditch (which contained 1 flint gritted and 11 joining LIA Belgic double cordoned jar sherds). As no subsoil was to be moved no features were excavated and the site is now preserved under the deposited disposed soil placed above. Details in (S1).
