Full Description
Coin formerly part of H R Mossop Collection. Sold at Glendining's, November 1991. Gold quarter stater, Iceni, late Freckenham type `(1.05g) rev. voided crescent above horse (cf Van Arsdell 628-1; Mack 404 - this reveals one crescent fully; Seaby 48). Extremely rare, good fine (150-200 pounds)'. Claimed to be from `Brettenham/Thistleton?' (S1).
All Misc IA coins more likely to be from Brettenham, Norfolk, known prolific site.
