Full Description
Coin, formerly part of H R Mossop Collection. Sold at Glendining's, November 1991. Gold quarter stater of Cantii `(1.37g), c. 60-50 BC, Gallo-Belgic DA, flower-like ornament on plain field, rev. tree or trophy design (cf Van Arsdell 67-1/146-1; Mack 39/42; Seaby 6). Extremely rare, fine (100-150 pounds)'. Claimed to be from `Suffolk'. `Another published from the Finney Collection' (S1)(R1).
