Full Description

A bronze half wrist clasp, length 4.8cm, was donated to Moyses Hall Museum by the finder (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), in 1984. It is of Sax date but of an unusual type, loop side only. Body made of two squares with a cross of four "petals" in each, joined by a strip terminating in a recurved leg decorated with a stylised bird head. Each square has a perforated tag on one side (the loops) balanced by a curlicue on the other. Found with a metal detector late 1983 or early 1984 (S1).

Formerly recorded as ERL MISC
