Full Description
A key terminal or handle of bronze, length 6.3cm, was donated to Moyses Hall Museum by the finder (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Found behind the house with a metal detector `(? at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) approx)'.
It is in the form of square pediment surmounted by 3 loops with keyhole-shaped perforations and thistle knob. There is a hole on the base to take a circular shaft.
Examined by Catherine Johns, British Museum, who says it is definitely Rom but that she cannot date it precisely (S1).
