Three petrologically examined stone axe head from Mildenhall Fen of quartz sandstone; coarse tuff and quartzite (S1)(S2).
1951.468B: `?Quartzite pebble with one edge ground into an axe blade and the other roughly pointed. An unusual form, material Quart.Sandstone'. From Mildenhall Fen. Formerly REv S Banks collection, then Sedgewick Museum. Associations? - see (S2).
1951.468C: `Small sandstone ?axe head... incomplete, weathered. Length 3.7", breadth 2.2" (cutting edge)'. From `Mildenhall'. Formerly Rev S Banks collection, then Sedgewick Museum. Associations - see (S2). 1951.387B: Polished axe/adze, `from a pebble, one end only has been sharpened to a cutting edge. Length 4.25"'. From Mildenhall Fen.
