Full Description
`TL 976 622 Post Mill, demolished c.1924.' (S1).
Pyke's Mill, post mill with roundhouse, dated 1644, demolished 1924 (S2). Mapped as post mill, between 1824 (Greenwood) and circa 1901 (OS 6")(S3). HER NGR and mapped location after OS, circular building shown on 1884 & 1904 25 inch maps where shown with rectangular buildings to N (as on present map?) as `corn mills'. Still named as mills on OS 1958 6 inch map.
Field 200m to south - Mount Hill - may relate to mill.
