`Lime Kilns' marked on OS 1st ed map of 1838 at TM 128 475 approximately (S1). For other lime kilns in Bramford, see BRF 001, 039 & 042. In 1619 Richard Smith of Bromford is listed as a lime-burner (S2)(R1). In 1680 Thomas Gilbert of Bramford is listed as a lime-burner (S2)(R2).
