Full Description
Athelington had a brick and tile maker (S4). Operated by: Thomas Betts, 1844-1873; Mrs Hannah Betts, 1873-1874; William Betts, 1984-1879; William Youngs 1879-1892 (S1). Marked at approximate cited location on 1st ed OS map in 1837 (S2) and in area of former pit shown on 1950s OS map (S3).
