Full Description

Benhall Pottery, including kiln and clay pit shown on 1880s OS map.
Shown as `Old Kiln' & `Old Clay Pits' on OS 1:2500 & 1:10560 maps of 1900s (S1).
For brick kiln & works, see BNL 022.

Monitoring of pipeline to the east of Kiln Cottage identified a large amount of brick debris and clinker on the top of a large pit. Brick and tile debris was also noted over some 50/60 metres of the pipeline closer to Kiln Cottage (S2).
