Full Description
Lime kiln in chalk pit at Rickinghall Inferior still remaining in 1981 (S1). Shown on 1880s & 1904 maps at cited grid reference within chalk pit (S2) and `Limekiln' named on OS 1st ed map of 1837 (S3). Also recorded on tithe and enclosure documents of 1819 and on tithe map of 1839 listed as owned by John Amys (S4)(S5).
