Full Description

Silver penny of Alexander III of Scotland (AD 1250-1280), first issue. Obverse side: Bust of king facing left with sword; ALEXANDER REX. Reverse side: long double cross pommee, stars in angles, IOH (AN) ON BER. Found in or about 1972 by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1).
