Full Description

In 1984 a trade token of farthing value was presented to Moyses Hall Museum as part of the Harley Collection. The token was dated 1652 and belonged to Thomas Postle of Southwold.
On the obverse side of the token a star is depicted and the words : THOMAS POSTLE: Grocer's Arms. On the reverse side the following appears : IN SOUTHWOLD. 1652 star; a heart; T*P small crescent and star. Boyne, Suffolk 298 (S1).
