Full Description

Walpole Bridge across the River Blyth W of the village. Shown on Hodskinsons map of 1783 (S1). Location of bridge unclear on Bowen's map of 1755 (S2). Note line of MSax/LSax timbers from causeway(?) leading to bridge to W - see WLP 007.
