Full Description

1812: Remains of an `elephant' found about 10 feet below surface by labourers whilst digging gravel at Stoke Ash.
Most of the remains crumbled away except 6 teeth (2 grinders, weighing 6lbs and 4.5lbs, and four ? incisors) in a mineralised state. `Now in possession of two gentlemen at Eye' (S1).

Presumably geological, no known archaeology.
