Full Description

Large four-storey smock mill, built with some parts of a nearby post mill in 1865 by Hunt of Soham. It ceased work before the Great War and was later converted into a house. The base alone now remains, built into a house. There were four patent sails, an ogee cap with gallery and a fantail (S1).

Mill House incorporates the brick base of this smock mill, The post mill is marked on the parish enclosure map as "Wind Mill" at TL 67705068. (S2-S4)
