Full Description

Roughly circular mound about 1m high by 17m diameter in area of woodland between Brandon Park House & Lodge on B1106. In area of hummocky ground but appears artificial. Single (rabbit?) burrow upcast revealed 5 tile fragments of C19 type & mixed fabrics and 2 struck flints (one PMed? and one Preh). Finds suggest use and possibly destruction of mound related to Brandon Park (House built in early C19) - possibly ornamental garden feature. Exact location not determined due to surrounding woodland (S1) but probably same as small knoll symbol on (S2) at TL 7872 8523.
