Full Description
June 1995: Rom finds from rapid metal detector survey of small cultivated field (finder's `Field 2') within area of mainly paddocks. On (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Said to be few finds of pottery, most non-metallic finds not collected & metal finds restricted to items identified using discriminator on detector (i.e. no lead or iron). Other PMed detector finds (details in (S2)) include musket balls etc. Rom finds listed as silver/iron forgery of a denarius of P CLODIUS (41 BC), 32 C3-C4 bronze coins, and various sherds of pottery (S2).
June 1996: Further 81 (mainly Rom but including one of Henry VII) coins from EXG 053 & 054, plus lots of pottery and worked flints (S1). Details to follow?
