Full Description

1845: `Chalk pit and land' in possession of Robert Alfred Allen (see BCB 008) shown as having two lime kilns on Tithe (S1).
Two further kilns, one named `Limekiln', the other `Kiln' on 1926 OS map (S2).
Probably part of larger Grove Works (008) complex. Linked to Stour by canal - see BCB 014.
