Full Description

Bridge shown on Hodskinsons 1783 and Bowens 1755 maps (S1)(S2). Construction date unknown, crosses River Alde (or Deben?). Site of original bridge and historical details need research.
1932: None of the bridges over the Alde are ancient but one over the Deben between Farnham and Stratford St Andrew, called Stratford Bridge, has the year 1804 (rebuilt then?) carved on the keystone (S3).
A bridge still exists on this site.
