Full Description

Avenue of trees marked on Hodskinson's map of 1783 on an E-W alignment on the eastern side of the main Eriswell - Lakenheath road. Stretches to Mildenhall Wangford road (present A1065), a distance of some 1.05km (S1). At the western end, there are two buildings situated either side of the road. Presence of avenue suggests fairly important buildings.
The easternmost of the two buildings has gone (built over), but parts of the westernmost may have been adapted into two surviving buildings at TL 7207 7956 (centre).
