Full Description
September 1986: Fourteen silver Tudor coins metal detected near Abbey Farm. Found in an area of 25 sq yards between one and six inches deep. Declared not to be Treasure Trove on 13 November 1986 and returned to finder. Coins listed as two groats of Mary I (1553-4), one groat of Mary & Phillip (1554-8) and one groat, three threepences, five half-groats and two pennies of Elizabeth (latest issue of 1593/4). Mostly significantly worn. Details in (S1).
Findspot needs checking with Coroner.
