Pill box close to the Chad Brook, part of a `stop-line' running from Sudbury through to Mildenhall (S1).
In valley of Chad Brook NE of Long Melford and SE of Bridge Street, near Crabtree Wood. Standard type 27 pillbox. Single steel plate around embrasures, a round central pillar, steel MG mount, round vents. Entrance faces W (S2).
