Full Description

August 1996: Monitoring of steam ducts behind buildings 1153 and 1158 on Lakenheath air base revealed Rom features - ditches, pit and ?post hole. Also one Preh flint blade (S1).

1996: Monitoring of trench excavation for new heating ducts behind buldings 1153, 155 and 1150 identified Roman features at the western end of the trench with probable windblown sand overlying the archaeology (S3).
