Possible gallows/execution site suggested by field names (plot 57a) on Little Saxham tithe of 1840.
Hanging (plot 74); Blood Hill (plot 73); Higher Blood Hill (plot 58) and Lower Blood Hill (S1).
Hangings adjoins the Barrow - Bury road and all fields bar Higher Blood Hill adjoin the `Precession Waye'(along the parish boundary) of 1638. Note: `Black Plantation' lies some 200m N of the Hangings Field.
