Full Description
Rectangular enclosure, circa 300m by 50m within north east corner of Elveden Rabbit Warren (ELV 039). Abutts the eastern side of the old bank (ELV 038). Defined on OS 1st edition map of 1836 (S1) and on Elveden tithe map, 1850 (S2). Within pine plantatin. Condition unknown.
January 2019. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
The enclosure described above, which is presumably of post medieval date, is visible as earthworks on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S3). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is probable that the earthwork still survives.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 18th January 2019.
