Summary

A rectangular enclosure of post medieval date is depicted on 19th century maps and is visible as earthworks on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey. It lies within Elveden Warren (SHER ELV 039). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is probable that the earthworks still survive.

Full Description

Rectangular enclosure, circa 300m by 50m within north east corner of Elveden Rabbit Warren (ELV 039). Abutts the eastern side of the old bank (ELV 038). Defined on OS 1st edition map of 1836 (S1) and on Elveden tithe map, 1850 (S2). Within pine plantatin. Condition unknown.

The enclosure described above, which is presumably of post medieval date, is visible as earthworks on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S3). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is probable that the earthwork still survives.
