Full Description
Possible mill (wind?/water?) site suggested by Great Whelnetham tithe map & apportionment, name for plot 96 `Mill Field' (S1).
Formerly recorded as WLG MISC
Clear cropmark of square enclosure, 18m across, with cruciform mark in centre, on 2018 Google Earth. Form suggests a windmill
The cropmark of a possible medieval or post medieval windmill mound can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken on 15th July 2013. This cropmark is at TL 8672 5876 and consists of an incomplete ring ditch with a cross-shaped cropmark at its centre.
