Full Description

Water mill shown and named in (S1) and suggested by surrounding field names. "This mill has been gutted and now with the mill house forms a very picturesque residence. The mill building is of weather boarded timber, with tiled mansard roof. The mill house is plastered with a straight pitched tiled roof". Under "Category of importance A,B,C" it is graded as a C (S3). Recorded by Pevsner as a `weatherboarded mill (partly C15?) and the miller's house (Georgian, of five bays, red brick)'(S4).
Shown on Kirby's map of 1736 (S5), although shown SE of church rather than E.
