Full Description
Recent metal detector find of gilded (or gold leaf?) bronze late C6/early C7 axe shaped pendant, with bird head terminals. Three strand animal body interlace, circa 1 inch ling. 3 rivets on back with traces of iron. Similar to example from Sutton Hoo mound 17.
Found on estate? Landowner did not want finder to divulge findspot (S1).
