Full Description

1992/93: Desk top & fieldwalking evaluation (by Tempvs Reparatum). Fieldwalking revealed widespread and dense scatter of burnt & worked flints plus 10 sherds Prehistoric pottery in three fields on East side of survey area (Fields `A', `B' and `C'). Details in (S1). The concentration of worked flint finds from Field `C' (in particular) (S1), together with the pottery, suggest significant occupation within the area. Note area includes ring ditch BUC 040 and enclosure(?) & other cropmarks BUC 041 and findspot of Late Bronze Age bronze gouge (in Field `C') BUC 038.

No fieldwalking report received so exact details of fieldwalking unknown.

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on find location, (S3).
