Full Description

An ice-house in Great Glemham Park (see GLG 014) is marked on the 1830 Tithe Map (S1) and on subsequent OS maps down to the 1:10560 map in a tree-covered depression at TM 3470 6186.
A gasometer and adjacent works are shown on the OS 6 inch scale map of 1881/5 (S1) and the 1:2500 map of 1904 in the same tree-covered depression as the ice-house, at TM 3468 6184.
?Some confusion with Glemham Hall (in the adjoining parish - see GLL 021 & 022) re the gasometer (S2).
