Full Description

One medieval annular brooch currently held at Brewhouse Yard Museum in Nottingham. Part of a (?Fernie) collection also comprising of eleven Roman bow brooches and one Anglo-Saxon small-long brooch, labelled as `Saxon & Roman Fibulae - brooches or cloak pins. Found at Bury St Edmunds and London'. Tag number that still exists for the brooch is 62. Item passed onto museum from Nottingham dealer in 1950, having been bought between the two World Wars (S1).
