Full Description
Site of windmill. Shown on Layham tithe map from 1839 (S1). Building named as Windy Ridge on OS map from 1973 (S2). Recorded by B Flint in Gazetteer of Suffolk Windmills as demolished by 1900 (S3).
Presumably same as Smock Mill listed by Dolman (S4) at TM 0383 4026 and as being mapped in 1824, 1825, 1836 and 1840 (tithe map).
